Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes

This week, the hubs and I are changing our latitudes (and hopefully brightening our attitudes) a bit with our first vacation as husband and wife (aside from last year's honeymoon at Disney World aka Disneymoon). While we will miss our fur baby very much, this break from reality is much needed. We've been through a lot in the past year from getting married, buying and moving into our first home, the hubs starting his first job, me changing jobs, adopting our fur baby, etc., so a vacation where we can just relax, enjoy and have fun is just what the doctor ordered!

Here's a little sneak peak at what we have planned this week:

A few days in one of my favorite cities that the hubs has never been too, St. Augustine, Florida. Founded in 1565 (it will be 450 years old next year), this is the nation's oldest town filled with spanish architecture and history, quaint shops and restaurants and of course, beautiful beaches along the Atlantic Ocean.

After our time in Florida, we will go up the coast a little bit to Cumberland Island, Georgia's largest and southernmost barrier island. This pristine, mostly undeveloped island is a beautiful mix of forests, beaches and marches. You'll find everything from ruins to even wild horses. I visited the island a couple of times when I was younger, but I'm excited to finally go back.

Finally, to cap off the trip, we'll be spending our last few days in Savannah, Georgia. The oldest city in this state, she is home to tons of history, a lovely riverfront downtown area and much much more. Again, this is a city I haven't visited in many years, so I am excited to go back and enjoy it as an adult.

So, that's our little vacation trip 2014 in a nutshell. I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures and come back with tons of stories to share over the next few weeks!
